Fiona is here today because of the TLC she received from her care team. Here are some never-before-seen videos of moments they shared during Fiona’s first few months. A lot of love went into caring for Fiona and helping her become a healthy happy hippo!
She is just the cutest little thing from the Cincinnati Zoo!

Fiona, the world’s most beloved baby hippo now has her own show on Facebook!

On Tuesday, the Cincinnati Zoo release the first episode of “The Fiona Show.”

The eight minute episode debuted never before seen footage of Fiona’s earliest days, when she was struggling with health issue and seemingly living on borrowed time.

Fiona weighed only 29 pounds when she was born on January 24, the lowest recorded birth weight for her species.

“We were really nervous,” Cincinnati Zoo Director Thane Maynard said. “Everyone refused to give up.”

As of August 21, she weighs a health 451 pounds and sometimes makes public appearances at the zoo’s hippo exhibit.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Fiona is getting her own show.

The first episode of the web series will feature never-before-seen footage of Fiona’s premature birth, the Zoo said, including video of the birth and the care team springing into action to help her after she was born.

“We’re so excited about the show,” Zoo Communications Director Michelle Curley wrote in an email. “It’s given us the opportunity to share details that we’ve never talked about and to relive moments that were stressful at the time but now (that Fiona’s out of danger) just warm the heart.”

Episodes of “The Fiona Show” will be available on Facebook Watch every Tuesday after its premiere, according to the Zoo. Viewers can follow the official Fiona Show Facebook page to get new episodes in their Watchlist, which can be accessed on mobile and desktop, and in the Facebook TV app.

The show is one of the many homages to Fiona since she began capturing hearts Since then, her face has graced T-shirts, cookiesice creambeer and playing cards, to name a few, and she has even become an honorary Sheriff’s Deputy.
